Final Project
April 28 Final Art Project Reflection
1. I did a nighttime painting and a person wire sculpture for exceeding. They took me about two weeks to make.
2. I think that the good parts of my painting are the details and the strong parts are the purple mixture in the sky. The good parts about my wire sculpture are that it is detailed and the strong parts are the body and the skirt.
3. I think I could have done a better job with the water because I don't think it looks detailed enough. I also think I could have done a better job on the skirt of my wire sculpture.
4. The theme of my painting is nighttime. I have a moon and stars to show that it is nighttime. The theme of my sculpture is a dancer. She has a skirt like dancers do.
5. I used form in my wire sculpture and also texture because it is bumpy and not smooth. In my painting I used value because some parts are dark and some are light. I also used perspective because the river gets really wide and then it gets thinner. I believe that they are important because they make your project better.
6. I used pattern in my wire sculpture in the way I strung the wire. I also used balance because some parts are heavy and others are light. I used unity because everything in my painting goes together and I used contrast because not all of the parts are the same. These are important because they make your art have a variety.
7. I learned that it takes time to make your projects look good and you can use this when you are working because it will help you so that you do a good job on the things they have you do.
8. For my painting I first drew it out the way I wanted it to look. Then I painted the sky first and after that I did the black and the river. On my wire sculpture I first did the legs and the body out of one piece. Then I added the head and the arms and the skirt.
9. I did the project that way because I thought it would make it look best and I liked the idea. I planned them to turn out the way they did. With my wire sculpture the wire was really easy to bend so it was hard to attach things to it without damaging it.
10. I think this was a worthwhile project because I got to do whatever I wanted. I want to keep painting over the summer because I want to get better at it.
